Step 2 — First Session: Deep Dive

  • Health history, current eating pattern, triggers, lifestyle, stress, sleep, and movement are reviewed.
  • Any recent labs or medical notes you choose to share are considered.
  • Clear goals are set together (e.g., fewer flare-ups, more regularity, more energy).

Step 3 — Personalized Plan

  • A simple, step-by-step plan is created: meal structure, portion guidance, fibre “titration” (soluble vs. insoluble), hydration, and gut-friendly cooking methods.
  • Food ideas use “choose more often / choose less often” language to keep things flexible and realistic.
  • If helpful, over-the-counter options or supplements may be discussed within scope and comfort.

Step 4 — Targeted Protocols (when needed)

Evidence-based approaches are used only when appropriate and always short-term:

  • Low FODMAP in three phases: a brief elimination, structured re-trial of foods, and a personalized long-term plan.
  • Lactose, gluten, or other food trials with clear timelines and reintroduction.

You’ll know exactly what to do each week, with recipes, swaps, and grocery tips.

Step 5 — Between-Session Support

  • Practical tools are provided: a symptom & food tracker, shopping lists, batching/cooking tips, and eating-out strategies.
  • Check-ins are scheduled to fit availability; Empowered Eating offers support during business hours.

Step 6 — Follow-Ups & Fine-Tuning

  • Progress is reviewed, triggers are mapped, and the plan is adjusted.
  • The goal is confidence: fewer symptoms, a broader diet, and habits that fit real life.
  • If red-flag symptoms appear, Empowered Eating coordinates with your healthcare team and recommends medical follow-up when needed.
