Tannaz Eslamparast, RD, MSc.

Founder & CEO

Hi! I’m Tannaz, a Registered Dietitian with a strong interest in helping people navigate digestive concerns, hormone related challenges, and chronic health conditions without fear or food confusion. I take a practical, science informed approach to nutrition that respects real life. My work spans clinical care, nutrition counselling, and research, with a consistent focus on helping you feel more comfortable, confident, and supported in your body.

My Training and Background

My academic training includes a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nutritional Sciences, as well as a Master’s degree in Medicine from the University of Alberta. This foundation allows me to translate complex nutrition science into clear, realistic strategies. I focus on education that empowers you, not overwhelms you, so food choices feel informed and manageable rather than restrictive or stressful.

How I Support My Clients

I believe nutrition care should be individualized, flexible, and grounded in evidence. I work with clients through one on one sessions, structured programs, and group education, always adapting strategies to fit personal health goals, symptoms, culture, and lifestyle. Food is meant to support your life and well being, not become another source of pressure.

Digestive Health and Food Confidence

Digestive health is a key area of my practice. As a Monash University trained FODMAP dietitian, I support individuals with IBS and other functional gut conditions using the research-backed FODMAP approach. The goal is clarity, not restriction. Together, we identify patterns, reduce symptoms, and rebuild confidence around eating so you can move forward with less fear and more ease.

Changing the Conversation Around Eating

As a Certified Craving Change® Clinician, I help clients step out of cycles of cravings, emotional eating, and rigid food rules. This evidence based program focuses on the “why” behind eating habits and supports lasting change without guilt, judgment, or strict control. It is about creating a calmer, more balanced relationship with food.

Care That Looks at the Whole Person

At Empowered Eating Nutrition and Wellness, nutrition goes beyond nutrients and meal plans. I take a whole person approach that considers physical health, mental well being, and quality of life. There is no universal plan here. Care is personalized, compassionate, and realistic, with room for flexibility and even a little humor along the way.

Life Outside the Office

Outside of work, I am a lifelong learner who enjoys keeping up with nutrition research, exploring Toronto’s diverse food scene, and spending meaningful time with family. I believe enjoyment and connection are essential parts of health, and that philosophy carries into my work.
